Abstract

This paper confronts the theory of Humberto Maturana on the appearance of janguage in the early chilhood with those of Jean Piaget and L.S. Vygotski. The central discussion is about the foundations, element and ciscumstances that each author considers in his explanation of the forst emergence of language in the individual. The purpose of this comparison is to make a contribution to the understanding of the new perpective on language present in Maturana's theory, wich constitutes a new vision of this phenomenon and allows a different and innovative approach to the psycopedagogic work in the field of language and communication.
