Psycho-social-educational profile of the students of the Faculty of Philosophy, Social Sciences and Education of the U. de Chile

Abstract

This profile has descriptive intent and we consider it useful because it is a significant universe, socially and intellectually, of the Chilean university student body.

As is well known, the students of the humanistic disciplines are distinguished from the others by their constant restlessness, even agitation and dissidence.

What is shown here are three series of traits: 1° SOCIAL, Sex, Age, Marital Status of them and their parents, Place of Residence; 2° EDUCATIONAL, Schooling, Choice of Career, Satisfaction before it and Forecasts before Future Remuneration, Satisfaction or Dissatisfaction for the Professional Education Received, Desires to change career; 3° INTIMATE, Desires to leave or remain in the country, Well-being or discomfort at home, in front of your companions, Self-assessment of mental health, Desires to Live Alone or with Others.
