One Hundred Years of Critical Theory: From Horkheimer to Rosa

Abstract

This article commemorates the hundred years of the Frankfurt School by offering a historical-conceptual introduction to Critical Theory as an intellectual current within sociology and social philosophy in general, from its beginnings in the 1920s to the present, reviewing four generations of thinkers, with special emphasis on the last one.
