Abstract

Qualitative-quantitative model is generated and implemented to determine the level of susceptibility of mass removals in cordilleran routes of central Chile, specifically in route 115 CH, Paso Pehuenche, Maule region. The susceptibility model was applied based on terrain analysis and the use of geomatics, considering the interaction of associated physical-natural variables. The geodynamic processes were analyzed with fieldwork. Geomorphological information was obtained from digital elevation models (DEM), satellite images and aerial photos. The results obtained establish that there are high susceptibilities to landslides, flows of detritus and rockfalls, duet otheir geomorphology conditions, highly weathered rocks, steep slopes, low vegetation cover and topography with anthropic intervention, optimal factors for the generation of these processes Geodynamic. The most effective control measure is prevention, using instruments of territorial environmental management. The methodology was validated with fieldwork in 2014 and 2016.
